Cup of Joe

I love sandwiches. Sushi is better, but sandwiches are 2nd best. I’m happy to report that I have a new sandwich craving.

The turkey, artichoke, pesto panini at Cup of Joe is a sublime combination of flavor. I think it helps that I’m on a pesto kick right now, so that gives this sandwich an automatic “in” with me, but it’s more than just the pesto. The focaccia bread, melted cheese (not sure what kind yet), and artichokes are also pretty much perfectly balanced in flavor. I’ve had this sandwich twice in the last week and I intend to have it again in the next few days.

Cup of Joe also lets you build your own panini by choosing from various meats, cheeses, and sauces/seasonings. I built my own once, but I confess it wasn’t as good as the turkey, artichoke, pesto panini that they offer as a special.

The building is pretty cool. Lots of character with concrete floors and exposed ductwork ceilings. The sad thing is that they’ve nearly covered everything in purple paint. I guess it makes it unique, but I think they should have left everything in its natural state rather than painting over all of it.

Anyway, go to Cup of Joe and order the panini.

Update: Not sure why but Cup of Joe got shut down. Something that involved some cops…
