Toaster’s Cafe
4 Comments Published by Brett September 12th, 2007 in **** (Four Stars), Deli/Bakery, ReasonableI should have posted about Toaster’s Cafe a long time ago. It’s a great sandwich shop. My friend Lex is so addicted he eats there several times a week. Sometimes several times a day. He’s in there so much he’s become good friends with the owners who are from Bosnia (I think).
Today I ordered the Turkey Avocado sandwich. It’s excellent. The Tuna Salad sandwich is also a favorite. They use amazing bread from Vosen’s bakery (careful their website is atrocious) and great balsamic vinegar.
This is probably my second favorite sandwich shop in Salt Lake. The Robin’s Nest is still number one.

I love Toaster’s. I’m not out in that area very often, but when I am (such as when I have to run to the post office) I almost always stop there for a sandwich and/or coffee and/or a pastry. Everyone there is really nice, and the ambiance is wonderful.
Wow! My wife and I visited Salt Lake for the 1st time this past Christmas, and we found toasters my accident. I would have to say it is THE best sandwich shop we have ever been to. The ambiance was relaxing, the staff was VERY friendly, and the food cannot be topped! I had the buffalo chicken sandwich my first meal, and immediately ordered another one to go!
@Mark: Glad you had such a great sandwich experience your first time in Salt Lake! Toaster’s is incredible; I agree. Next time you’re here you’ll have to try The Robin’s Nest and let me know how you like it.
I completely agree. It’s my go-to sandwich place and I love the staff. The caprese is my fave.
